Our vision is to create a range of exciting toys made from recycled plastic, providing a simple, sustainable alternative to new plastic toys.

Hi, I’m Miranda, and this is my husband James and my three boys, Teddy, Jack and Finn. I created Happy Planet Toys after feeling overwhelmed by the environmental impact of the plastic that builds up in the home with toys, kitchenware and everything else when you have young children.

Our vision for Happy Planet Toys is to create a range of exciting, compelling and uniquely Australian eco-friendly toys, made from recycled plastic, providing families with a simple, sustainable alternative to new plastic toys. Our toys are designed with fun characters and functionality to encourage creative, open-ended play for toddlers and pre-schoolers. We also want our fun characters to help engage children and their families on the importance and benefits of recycling, and reducing plastic waste.

We're passionate about closing the recycling loop in Australia, reducing the amount of new plastic in homes as well as landfill, making meaningful and positive change for the environment. We're also donating at least 10 per cent of our profits each quarter to organisations or individuals who are doing great things to protect our environment, to further support positive change.

As a mum to young children, I understand the importance of safety when it comes to products for kids. That’s why our toys are made in Australia, from Australian recycled plastic that is FDA-certified as food grade – that means it’s free of BPA, BPS and Phthalates. Our toys also meet the Australian safety standards for pre-school children (AS/NZS ISO 8124 certified).

Our eco friendly toys are made to last - they're made from plastic that is highly durable as well as easy to clean and dishwasher safe. And once your family is finished with them, our toys can go into the recycling bin to continue their life as another useful product, staying out of landfill.
